Marriage Week UK takes place from 8 to 14 February (so it includes Valentine's Day). This year's theme is 'movie night' and married couples are being encouraged to take time out to watch a movie together.
Now, that could be as a couple, with a group of friends, in a community group - or in a church. This is such a simple idea - and has great potential for your church to engage with couples in your community.
"Making the choice to watch a film together can help many couples create a bit of space just for them, in the middle of their hectic schedule", says Christine Tufnell, who helps head up Care for the Family's marriage initiatives.
"Churches can really help - by screening a romantic movie, handing out popcorn, and giving couples a chance to enjoy a night out together for free. This will be particularly helpful for couples finding things tough because of the 'credit crunch'."

All of us are affected by or connected to someone hurt by a broken relationship, substance abuse, debt, lack of education, illness, disability, age or any number of human challenges that are difficult to overcome alone. These challenges can alienate us from our families and friends and we suffer in silence, hiding our broken hearts. I commend those involved in the ENGAGE conference and programme.
