Paper plate tambourine
Rate this article
Metal bells are not recommended for toddlers as they can cut their tongues on them. In this tambourine, however, they are safely sealed between two paper plates.
You will need:
-
2 small paper plates. Top tip – do not economise on these. Buy good quality, thick cardboard plates
-
Small metal bell or ‘rattley’ filling
-
Stickers or washable colouring pens, pencils or crayons to decorate
-
Stapler
-
Ribbons (optional)
How to make a tambourine:
-
Colour and decorate the convex sides of the two paper plates.
-
Put a small metal bell or ‘rattley’ filling between the two plates and seal securely by stapling around the edge.
-
Staple ribbons on (optional).
