Photo of a fluffy chick maskYou will need:

  • Paper plate
  • Yellow or orange card
  • Yellow craft feathers
  • Washable marker pen or thick felt tip pen
  • Gluestick or PVA glue and spreader
  • Thin elastic (approx. 30cm)
  • Scissors
  • Stapler

How to make a chick mask:

  • Cut out a quarter segment and two round eye holes from the paper plate.
  • Cut out a diamond shape from the card and fold in half to make a beak.
  • Glue the beak and feathers on to the plate.
  • Add nostrils to the beak with the marker or felt tip pen.
  • Cut a suitable length of elastic to go around the back of the head. Tie a knot in each end to stop it slipping through and staple to each side of the plate to complete the mask.
