Spider biscuit
Rate this article

This friendly bug could be taken home on his own ‘spiders web’ if you provided a paper plate and black crayons or pencils to draw the web. That’s assuming that he doesn’t get eaten first, of course!
You will need:
-
A round chocolate biscuit e.g. chocolate digestive
-
A chocolate tea-cake
-
Liquorice or cola laces
-
Two sweets for the eyes e.g. ‘Smarties’
-
Black writing icing for the pupils (optional)
-
Icing to glue the spider together. Top tip – supermarkets sell tubs of ready-made chocolate icing which is ideal for this.
How to make a spider biscuit:
-
Cut the laces to make 8 ‘legs’ and stick to the biscuit with icing.
-
Place the tea-cake ‘body’ on top.
-
Stick on the sweet ‘eyes’ and add a spot of black icing for the pupils (optional).
