Rate this article
This effective cow hand puppet is easy to make. Why not experiment with creating a variety of animal faces.
You will need:
-
An A5 size envelope (brown)
-
White paper for the mouth
-
Marker pen, paints or coloured pens
-
Big googly eyes (optional)
-
Black wool (optional)
How to make a cow hand puppet:
-
Cut off the corners of the open end of the envelope.
-
Attach them with Sellotape to the corners of the closed end, these will be the ears.
-
Cut out a circle with the white paper for the mouth.
-
Draw or paint some ears, eyes, nostrils and hair onto the envelope. You could cut up small pieces of black wool and stick on top of the head or stick on some googly eyes.
-
Put your hand in the envelope, and there you have your very own hand puppet.
A suggestion:
At story time, why not tell a story where the children can use their puppets, or do a puppet show for the parents and carers. Whatever you choose to do, have lots of fun.
