Storysacks are about making books fun and bringing stories to life.

As you lead storytime you have a wonderful chance to help develop a child’s language skills and imagination, and hopefully to give them a love for books and reading which will last a lifetime.

Each sack is based around a well-known picture story book and is supported by a fact book on a similar theme. To encourage role play, soft toy characters, props and scenery are added. The sack is then completed by a game, activity guide and parent guide.

Storysacks are available to borrow from libraries where you may reserve them free of charge. You could even bring your creative skills into play by making your own storysacks.
